Ariel joined the Cedar Valley Jaycees in 2014 where she served as the Director of Community Development. She transferred to the Cedar Rapids Jaycees in the summer of 2016 and then stepped in as Vice President of Membership to finish out the 2016 year. She will serve as Vice President of Membership for 2017. Ariel will also be a Director for the a Festival of Trees 2017.
Ariel currently works for Target as a Hardlines Brand Team Member. When she is not working and volunteering her time for the Jaycees, she spends time playing softball and taking her dogs to the local dog parks. She currently resides in Cedar Rapids with her boyfriend Jordan, who is also a Jaycee member, and their two dogs Oakley and Nala.
Wes has been a member with the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2016. He has previously served on the 2017 Uptown Friday Nights committee.
Wes currently works at Farmers State Bank as a Teller. In addition to volunteering with the Jaycees, Wes continually volunteers at church as a youth leader. In his free time Wes enjoys spending time with family and friends, kayaking, skiing, going to the shooting range, and traveling.
Felicia has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2016. She also hold a position for JCI Iowa as their 2018 State Secretary.
Felicia is employed with Toyota Financial Services in their Collections Department. She previous worked at NXT Bank as a Personal Banker. Felicia enjoys working with customers to brainstorm solutions for their issues and assist them with any questions they have! Being part of the community has been a main focus in Felicia’s professional development and enjoys meeting new people!
The Executive Vice-President shall be a member of the Board with full voting power. The Executive Vice-President shall assume direct authority over certain aspects of chapter administration as delegated by the president and shall assume duties as directed by the Board of Directors or the President, including but not limited to the following duties:
Mindi has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2014 and served as a Vice President and the Secretary in 2015. In the past, she has co-chaired Run-Punt-Pass and Toys for Tots. She will serve as the President and co-chair the 2017 scholarship committee.
Mindi works as an Accountant for Kirkwood Community College and The Hotel at Kirkwood Center. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at the Catherine McAuley Center and other local non-profits. She resides in Cedar Rapids and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
The Board of Directors is made up of eight Officers. These Officers are elected by the General Membership each fall. Officers serve one-year terms, which start January 1st. The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing aspects of the chapter such as:
Officers typically meet once a month for Board Meetings to vote on matters pertaining to the organization. General Members may attend Board Meetings, but only Officers are allowed to vote.
Carla has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since February of 2015.
She has previously served as the 2017 Festival of Trees Director, and will continue as Director in 2018. She has helped with many other Jaycees events such as Uptown Friday Nights, Arc Easter egg hunt and many more.
Carla currently works as an Annuity Licensing Specialist for TCS, a partner of Transamerica. She works closely with agents and back offices to help with ensuring that agent are properly licensed and trained. When she is not working and volunteering her time for the Jaycees, she spends time with her family and friends. She is an avid crafter and enjoys making things. She also enjoys staying active by playing sports, going on hikes and traveling.
Nate has been a member since 2017. He has worked at many Uptown’s, Festival of Tree,s and and headed up Run Punt Pass!! Nate works as a courier at FedEx. When he is not volunteering with the Jaycees he loves being outdoors!! His hobbies include golf, softball, hockey, and coaching and teaching sports. And he loves long walks with his dog!!
Sarah has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2015 and has served as Treasurer for the chapter since 2017.

Sarah resides in Cedar Rapids with her husband Brian and their two cats Xander & Shiloh. Her hobbies include camping, gardening, biking, volleyball, outdoors, car shows and visiting family.
Ashley has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2015. She has previously served as Treasurer (2016) and Executive Vice President (2017). Ashley also served as the co-chair of the 2017 Scholarship Committee and the 2017 Uptown Friday Nights volunteer coordinator.
Ashley works as a CPA at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Cedar Rapids, IA. She primarily serves the Aerospace and Defense industry. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband, volunteer, work out and sew
The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees. The President shall call and preside over all meetings of the membership and the Board, appoint all standing committees and special committees (subject to Board approval) and exercise general supervision over the affairs of the chapter and perform other duties as are incidental to the office and prescribed by the Board or Bylaws. The President shall cast the deciding vote on any matter of the chapter or board of directors resulting in a tie. The President shall be an ex-officio member of all committees of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees. The Executive Vice-President, All Vice-Presidents, the Treasurer, the Secretary, the Legal Counsel, and other Presidential appointments may report to the President.
