Matt has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2016. Matt has previously served as the 2018 Uptown Friday Nights Director. He has worked at many Uptown Friday Nights, the Local Officials BBQ, Festival of Trees, and Toys for Tots.
Matt works as an IT Systems Administrator at StoneRiver, a Sapiens Company. Where he builds and maintains client production systems across their multiple insurance software products.
When he is not volunteering, Matt likes to spend time with family and friends, the outdoors, woodworking, building and flying RC planes, and working on his cars and bikes.
Nate has been a member since 2017. He has worked at many Uptown’s, Festival of Tree,s and and headed up Run Punt Pass!! Nate works as a courier at FedEx. When he is not volunteering with the Jaycees he loves being outdoors!! His hobbies include golf, softball, hockey, and coaching and teaching sports. And he loves long walks with his dog!!
Kyle has been an active Jaycee member since January of 2017. He found out about the organization by his sisters recommendation. She had won a scholarship some 13 years ago, so one day he just showed up to a meeting and never looked back.
Kyle has served as Casino Night Director as well as co-director for Run, Punt, Pass. He created a spinoff of Run, Punt, Pass for ice hockey which was called Skate, Pass, Shoot.
Kyle works as a comprehensive financial planner for AXA Advisors, LLC. Kyle enjoys helping individuals and business define and achieve their financial goals. He also gets the pleasure of working as a manager for the company to assist in the recruiting, training, and development of new advisors on the team. He resides in Hiawatha with his girlfriend, Nikki, and their two cats Cooper and Cleo.
Sarah has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2015. She previously served as Treasurer for the chapter the last two years (2017 & 2018). She has been a part of various project committees and has helped with many other Jaycees events such as Uptown Friday Nights, Festival of Trees, Toys for Tots, Emergency Officials BBQ, Arc Easter Egg Hunt, Casino Nights, and many more. She received the Above & Beyond Award in 2018 for outstanding service and dedication to the Cedar Rapids Jaycees chapter and Top Local Treasurer of the Year in 2017 for implementing techniques to improve the chapter’s overall financial condition.
Sarah also runs her own business as an Independent Personal Financial Advisor for Securian Advisors MidAmerica, Inc in Hiawatha, IA. where she guides women and young professionals in their financial journey. In this role, Sarah is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative offering securities and investment advisory services through Securian Financial Services, Inc. member FINRA/SIPC. Securian Advisors MidAmerica guides and directs individuals, families, and businesses towards the successful achievement of clearly defined financial goals.
Sarah resides in Cedar Rapids with her husband Brian, who is also a Jaycee member, and their two cats Xander & Shiloh. Her hobbies include camping, gardening, biking, volleyball, outdoors, car shows, visiting family, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Colorado Avalanche.

Megan has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since September of 2017. She has previously served as the 2017 and 2018 Toys for Tots Co chair, and will continue as Co chair in 2019. She has helped with many other Jaycees events such as Uptown Friday Nights, Festival of Trees, Arc Easter Egg hunt and many more.
Megan currently works as a Preschool Teacher for College Community School District. When she is not working and volunteering her time for the Jaycees, she spends time with her family and friends. She enjoys antique shopping and crafting.
Mindi has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2014 and served as a Vice President and the Secretary in 2015. In the past, she has co-chaired Run-Punt-Pass and Toys for Tots. She will serve as the President and co-chair the 2017 scholarship committee.
Mindi works as an Accountant for Kirkwood Community College and The Hotel at Kirkwood Center. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at the Catherine McAuley Center and other local non-profits. She resides in Cedar Rapids and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Cindy has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Jaycees since 2017. She has been co-chair of the Jaycees involvement with Toys for Tots and the annual Trailers of Love event since 2017 and also helps with many other Jaycee events.
Cindy currently works as a preschool teacher at College Community School District. She also teaches piano lessons out of her home. When she is not busy teaching and volunteering with the Jaycees, she enjoys reading, playing piano, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family.
Ariel joined the Cedar Valley Jaycees in 2014 where she served as the Director of Community Development. She transferred to the Cedar Rapids Jaycees in the summer of 2016 where she has been involved on the board each year. In 2018, Ariel was the Director of the Festival of Trees and Holiday Market. She received the 2018 Outstanding Director for the success of the Festival of Trees and her dedication to the Cedar Rapids Jaycees Chapter. Ariel will reside on the 2019 Board of Directors as the Executive Vice President.
Ariel is currently a Team Leader for Target where she oversees the Apparel and Accessories Department. When she is not working and volunteering her time for the Jaycees, she plays on Co-Ed softball teams around Cedar Rapids. She also enjoys taking her dogs to the dog park and meeting fellow Cedar Rapids citizens. Ariel resides in Cedar Rapids with her now fiance, who is also a Jaycee member, and their 2 dogs Oakley and Nala and their cat Kirk.
The Board of Directors is made up of eight Officers. These Officers are elected by the General Membership each fall. Officers serve one-year terms, which start January 1st. The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing aspects of the chapter such as:
Officers typically meet once a month for Board Meetings to vote on matters pertaining to the organization. General Members may attend Board Meetings, but only Officers are allowed to vote.
